Today's Objective: To review grammar and literature terms used this week
Today on your blog you need to complete 8 of the following: (all for extra credit)
a. Define and give examples for noun, adjective, verb, adverb
b. Define and give an example for simile
c. Define and give an example for metaphor
d. Define and give an example for personification
e. Define and give an example for alliteration
f. Define and give an example for biography
h. Define these words: wilt, blossom, voracious, classic, persuade
i. Define these words: enhance, modify, mend, oblige, browse
j. Come up with a picture or image that would go with any of the words in "h" - post this
k. Come up with a picture or image that would go with any of the words in "j" - post this
When finished, pick a topic to write about in Microsoft Word:
1. What makes a good parent? Write a 4 paragraph essay on what makes someone a good parent. What do good parents do? How do they treat their children? Are you planning on becoming a parent? How many children will you have? How will you raise them? What have your parents done that you will do with your children? Give at least one specific example of good parenting. This can be from your parents or someone else's.

2. What makes a good student? Write a 4 paragraph essay on what makes someone a good student. What do good students do? How do they act in class? Are you a good student? If not, why not? What about your friends? Does being a good student mean you only get good grades? What about behavior? Do students and teachers treat good students differently? Why or why not? Give at least one specific example of a good student and what they have done. This example can be from your experience or someone else's.
