When finished pick an essay to write about:
DIRECTIONS: Read all three topics. Pick one to write a personal essay about. Write this essay in Microsoft Words. Save and print. DO NOT PRINT MORE THAN ONE PAGE. USE SIZE 12 OR 14 FONT!
#1: What makes a good parent? What kind of qualities do good parents have? Do you have good parents? Do you plan on being a parent? What will you teach your children? How many children do you want to have? What have your parents taught you that you will teach your children? In a 4-paragraph essay, explain your ideas on what a good parent is. Include a specific example of what a good parent does. This can be something about your parents, your grandparents, a friend’s parent, or parents from a book or movie.
#2: What makes a good student? What kind of qualities do good students have? Are you a good student? What kinds of things do you do that makes you a good student? What can you do to become an even better student? Are grades the only thing that matters to a good student? In a 4-paragraph essay, explain your ideas on what a good student is. Include a specific example of what a good student does. This can be something about you, a classmate, a friend, a sibling, or even a fictional student.
#3 What makes a good athlete? What kinds of qualities do good athletes have? Are you a good athlete? What sports do you play? What have you learned from playing sports? Does being athletic help in other areas of life? In a 4-paragraph essay, explain your ideas on what a good athlete is. Include a specific example of what a good athlete does. This can be something about you, a friend, a classmate, someone in your family or a professional or famous athlete.
