Objective: Students will write a letter to President Obama.

READ THIS - Tomorrow in class we will read a modern fable. Monday in class we will have a test on fables, inauguration and words with multiple meanings. Be prepared!

DO THIS - Write a letter to President Barack Obama in Microsoft Word. In your letter:
  • Tell the president who you are - give details about yourself
  • Tell the president that you have been studying the presidential race, election and inauguration in school - include what you have learned
  • Tell the president how you feel about him being elected
  • Tell the president what you want him to accomplish in office
  • USE FONT SIZE 12 OR 14
  • USE PARAGRAPHS - at least 4 (3 to 7 sentences each)
  • INCLUDE A HEADING - Dear Mr. President,
  • INCLUDE A CLOSING - Sincerely, Your Name
Do not print this letter until Miss Miers has looked at it and given you permission!
