Newsletter

What an excellent job our students did in the assembly this morning - Josh, DaQuan, Erin, Tajanae, Romello and Kenneth!! Congratulations and thank you!!

Objective: Students will write a newsletter article. Students will review idioms. Students will review Ruby Bridges.

DO THIS - Everyone needs to write a newsletter article in Microsoft Word. This needs to be printed out and given to Miss Miers by 11:55am. Be creative when writing this. It will go into the school newsletter, with your name. Use the following questions to help you write the article.
1. What are you doing in your classes?
2. How are you preparing for the upcoming Math exam?
3. How did you do on the ELA exam?
4. What kind of grades did you get on your report card?
5. What have you done in school relating to black history month?
6. What have you done in ELA this month? (think - create a new blog, visit the library, study idioms, watch Sounder...)
7. What about dress down Fridays? The Valentine's Dance?

DO THIS - Post the definition of idiom on your blog. Give 5 new examples of idioms and what they mean.

DO THIS - Review Ruby Bridges. Who is she? What did she do in her life? Answer those questions on your blog. Put a picture of Ruby Bridges on your blog.

We will have a test in ELA tomorrow - it will be on idioms, Ruby Bridges, your individual novel and editing!!
