Friday

Objective: Students will review homophones and homographs. Students will write a summary of the novel read in class. Students will review commas, run-on sentences and verb tenses.

Do this: Write an article for the last newsletter of the year. You may pick from the following topics:
-What you have done in ELA this year
-What you have done in the computer lab this year
-Write about one class and what you did in that class
-Any field trips you may have gone on
-Dress down days
-Any assemblies you went to
-What you have learned at Build Academy over the year
(If you have another topic, please check it with Miss Miers)

Write your article in Microsoft Word and save it.

Do this: In your blog, post the definition of a homophone.

Do this: Give 5 examples of homophones.

Do this: Use 3 of your homophone pairs in sentences.

Do this: In your blog, post the definition of a homograph.

Do this: Give 5 examples of homographs.

Do this: Use 3 of your homograph pairs in sentences.

Do this: Write a 3 to 4 sentences summary of what you have read this week in Autobiography of My Dead Brother in your blog.
